During my time at EA Sports, I had the opportunity to work on NHL 20 and NHL 21, focusing on Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT) a mode that allows players to build a fantasy lineup featuring the best hockey players in the world. My role involved developing conceptual artwork that reflected live NHL events throughout the season. This required constant research into culture and design, with staying current and ahead being essential to creating fresh, relevant work for the NHL franchise.

Dynamic Duo 1 & 2.0
2019-2020

A campaign created in 2020 to showcase the best duos in the NHL. The concept was built around a superhero theme, placing two players on a single card while allowing one to take a dominant role. Team colors were used to clearly differentiate the teams each player represented. Classic comic-book angles, explosive graphic elements, and high contrast dark detailing were used to reinforce a bold, superhero magazine style aesthetic across the set.

Lit Vs Grit
2020-2021

A campaign created in late 2020, designed as a unique set launched with NHL 21. The event featured two distinct player archetypes: Lit, representing flashy, highly skilled, and speedy players (such as Panarin and Nylander), and Grit, representing tough, tenacious, two-way players (such as Bergeron and Wheeler). These cards offered boosted attributes and unique synergies, creating distinct playstyles Lit cards excelled in offense and speed, while Grit cards provided balance and defensive strength. This contrast directly influenced card value, team composition, and overall strategy within the game.
